Effective Communication in the Workplace by Reducing Intergenerational Conflict

Presenters: Lynn Berger, MA, EdM, LMHC, NCC, PCC, MC, Peregrine M. Kavros, Ph.D., MBA, MCDP &

Description: For the first time, there are five generations in the workplace: Traditionalists, Boomers, Generation(s) X, Y, and Z. Each generation has its own unique way of communicating with one another and to generations both older and younger. Feeling listened to and respected is difficult enough in the rapidly changing workplace. The Career Coach plays a specific and special role in preparing those who are seeking work, and those who are firmly ensconced in the workplace. Highlighting the need for sensitivity and greater awareness of communication strategies, the Coach enhances the conversation, as well as encourages organizational efficacy and outcomes.
