Getting The Most Out Of Your Coach

GET TO KNOW YOURSELF AGAIN
Working with a sensitive and empathetic coach is a healthy way to grow. Most clients hire a coach to accomplish several specific goals and much of the time and focus is on these goals. Yet, with coaching, don’t be surprised if you discover new parts of yourself.

UNDERPROMISE, DON’T OVERPROMISE
Sometimes you may find that you promise yourself and your coach too much. Experience has shown that most clients progress easier when they promise less and accomplish more. Trying to keep up with too many promises depletes you of energy.

TELL OTHERS ABOUT BEING COACHED
You may find it empowering to share with others what you are learning and accomplishing with your coach.

KEEP YOURSELF WELL BETWEEN SESSIONS
I want you to take extraordinary care of yourself while being coached. You know what this means for you. I suggest you go much further than you ever had before. Develop 10 daily habits that keep you well. “There is no point to wealth without your health.”

KEEP YOUR SESSIONS AND BE ON TIME
It is not an exaggeration to say that you will reach your goals faster if you make your coaching sessions a priority. Try not to cancel or reschedule. To be on time means to be there (on the phone or in person) ready, connected and present to work.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, ENJOY!
We will be in a working relationship, but that doesn’t always mean putting in an intense effort or always being serious. Sometimes we need to laugh at life, how you’ve grown, how things happen, etc. Coaching is a gift that you give yourself. You deserve to enjoy our time together.
